In less than two decades the Hispanic population of Abbotsford, Wisconsin grew from just 39 people in 2000 to 550 in 2016, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. These numbers reflect a change in both the culture and the economy of the town, which has largely taken the changes in stride, longtime residents say.
